Reiki and Relaxation

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.

 

Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement.  It has been effective in helping physical, emotional, and mental conditions and always creates a beneficial effect. It also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery.

 

During a Reiki Session the client relaxes on a massage table fully clothed, and the relaxation process begins. I will guide you through some relaxing breathing exercises and through a series of gentle hand postions using very light touch which will encourage you to relax and let go.  

 

One of the beautiful things about this healing energy, is that it is not forced or aggressive, but rather flows naturally to whatever situation or issue needs the healing energy. Most clients report a profound deep sense of relaxation and peace.
